Things To Do In Pembrokeshire
What’s On Near Lamphey Court Hotel This November
November is a wonderful time to explore our beautiful county – quieter than the summer rush, but still brimming with woodland walks, cosy cafés and fun seasonal events. Staying with us at Lamphey Court Hotel gives you the perfect base for making the most of it. Here’s our pick of what to do this November.
1. Crisp Coastal Walks
Take advantage of the shifting season with a scenic walk along the coast or in the countryside.
-
Head out early morning to catch the light on the sea, especially from the cliffs nearby at Manorbier Beach, Freshwater East or the smaller coves around Tenby.
-
Explore the woodland paths around Lamphey itself — we have plenty of walking options from our doorstep. As the leaves are turning you’ll get some great photo-moments and the extra peace of off-peak season.
- Look out for our Otter family - we regularly spot them around the hotel grounds at this time of year.
2. Visit a Winter Market or Festive Fair
The build-up to the festive season truly starts in November across Pembrokeshire, with markets and fairs popping up that make for a lovely afternoon out.
- Lamphey Christmas Market is on 22 November - visit the village hall, just a short walk up the hotel lane.
-
Pembroke Castle Christmas Market begins on 28 November, with local crafts, a grotto, and seasonal treats.
-
Narberth Christmas Market also opens around 29 November, with handmade gifts, mulled wine and a friendly community atmosphere
3. Cosy Indoor Escapes – Spa, Museums & Heritage
When it’s damp or the wind picks up, spending part of the day indoors is a good plan!
-
Why not treat yourself to a relaxing treatment in our hotel spa — a perfect mid-day reset.
-
For history lovers: Nearby Carew Castle and Pembroke Castle provide interesting heritage with fewer crowds in November.
-
Pop into the smaller town museums or art galleries around Tenby and Narberth — ideal if there is a light drizzle and you still want to stay out and about.
4. Fireworks, Fun Runs & Community Events
November brings community-led events: fun runs, bonfires and local gatherings. Fireworks can be enjoyed in Lamphey Village, on the cricket pitch - just a short walk up the lane from the hotel.
Also check out the extremely fun Tenby Santa Run! A cheerful 3 km run through the town, with participants in Santa suits, this is scheduled for late November.
5. Early Festive Lights & Pre-Christmas Atmosphere
As the days draw in, local towns begin to decorate, turn on lights and add a little sparkle — perfect for an evening stroll.
-
A warm drink in a cosy café followed by a stroll under the fairy lights is an ideal way to enjoy the shorter evenings. We recommend visiting Narberth, Tenby and St. David's.
-
For photography fans, dusk is a great time — the light is soft and the sea reflections can be beautiful.
